What’s Next at LLGTX?

December 11, 9:30 AM we will have our LLGTX Annual Meeting in the Florence Room at the Cowan Creek Activities Center, (Enter 1433 Cool Spring Way, Georgetown, TX in your GPS.) There will be refreshments and visiting from 9:30 – 10:00, then we’ll take care of some business with the introduction of new Board members, brief reports, and time for Q & A . We look forward to having Linda Dwyer, who writes columns for The Sun and has presented twice for us at LLGTX, speak on “The Purpose and Passion of Lifelong Learning.” .

January 27, 2025, our Winter Term begins. We are right now making sure we have all 19 of the course descriptions finalized and should be ready to open registration sometime next week. We’ve had a number of enthusiastic comments already about what we will be offering, so get ready to make your choices.

Would you like to go to Costa Rica with LLGTX and Road Scholar next year?
Because of our mutual interest in lifelong learning, LLGTX is partnering with Road Scholar to travel to Costa Rica Dec 5 – 13, 2025. The trip is just for LLGTX members. It is “A Taste of Costa Rica” with a variety of locations and activities. As always with LLGTX and Road Scholar, there will be guides to ensure that it is a high-quality learning experience as well as including a range of fun activities. Although the days vary in difficulty, you could be walking as much as 1.5 hours a day over uneven trails in hot and humid conditions with elevations up to 6,000 feet (about like Denver). More details will be coming soon including pricing and specific itinerary. For the time being, plan on roughly $3,059 plus airfare for a single and somewhat less per person for a double.

If this trip interests you, shoot us an email (admin@lifelonglearnersgtx.com) to let us know that you want to be on our “Keep Me Informed About Costa Rica” list.
