Give my Regards to Broadway—The Musical as a Reflection of America with Susan Patterson
Tuesdays 1:00—2:00 p.m.
Grand Living Forum
In-person Only
We will trace the origins of the Broadway musical, then follow its transformations through the decades from the 1920s to the present, looking at how this artistic form reflects the times, from bright and silly, to dark and ambiguous. And, we will learn about the magicians who made the magic possible–from the Gershwins to Sondheim to Lin-Manuel Miranda.
