The Hill Country Authors Series (HCAS) returns on Nov. 12 featuring critically acclaimed novelist Jeff Abbott. He will focus on his latest novel Traitor’s Dance, the 7th book in his Sam Capra series. Abbott will also give the audience a sneak peek into his next novel to be published in early 2026.

Abbott is a New York Times bestselling, award-winning author of many mystery and suspense novels. He has been called “one of the best thriller writers in the business” (Washington Post). His novels have been called “compulsively readable” (Chicago Sun Times), “outstanding…genuinely moving,” and “fresh, original…intricately woven,” (Publishers Weekly).

Sponsored and run by the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library, HCAS takes place November 12th at 2 p.m. upstairs in the Friends and Hewlett Rooms of the Georgetown Public Library. Admission is $17 each, and tickets will be available for sale from October 20th – November 10th on the Friends of the Library website at www.folgeorgetown.org.  Doors open at 1:30, and tickets will be available at the door for $20 as space permits.

Abbott will give a 20–30-minute presentation, followed by a 15-20 minute question and answer session. Refreshments are included in the admission price and will be served by Sweet Lemon Kitchen.  Lark and Owl Booksellers will be on hand to sell copies of Traitor’s Dance, which Abbott will be happy to sign.

Proceeds from this fundraising event benefit The Friends of the Georgetown Public Library. The FOL advocates, raises funds, and provides critical support to the public library in Georgetown, TX.  For more information, contact Karen Harrison, HCAS Co-Chair, at hkaren515@gmail.com.
