Alan has held responsible positions at his church including being minister of a congregation He is Director of the FamilySearch Center in Georgetown and is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Masters of Mechanical Engineering. He is a past president of the Williamson County Genealogical Society and currently leads their DNA Special Interest Group. He is also active in the Cemetery Restoration Volunteers in WilCo.
