Brenda Mveng

Brenda Mveng

Brenda Mveng is a retired Associate Professor who has a BFA in Graphic Design and MFA in Graphic Design with a minor in African Art history from Howard University. She also holds MA degree from Yale University in African Art history. She taught university courses for approximately 20 years and was Curator with Kwaku Ofori Ansa for the prestigious Art of Africa exhibit given by Warren Robbins. Her mentors include Warren Robbins, the founder of the Smithsonian Museum of African Art; the famous Engelbert Mveng, a Cameroonian African art historian; and Kwaku Ofori Ansa, my African Art Professor at Howard University. Her Yale Professor, Robert Farris Thompson, was also a major influence in her career.
